Mahesh Patil

Founder & Managing Director

Mahesh Patil is the founder of the Lok Rakshak Sena Foundation and its Managing Director. A physicist by training and a martial artist by long-standing practice, he brings to the Foundation a combination of scientific discipline and personal readiness for direct service work.

His practice of community service predates the Foundation by many years. The Foundation was formed to give that work an institutional form — accountable, auditable, and capable of outliving any individual — while remaining rooted in the values that motivated it.

Swami Shree Manuska Das

Spiritual Advisor

Swami Shree Manuska Das serves as Spiritual Advisor to the Foundation. His guidance shapes the Foundation’s engagement with India’s classical traditions and its work on the revival of ancient places of learning, pilgrimage, and practice as living centres of yoga, meditation, and traditional wellness.

His role is consultative and advisory. He does not hold executive or fiduciary office in the Foundation. His advisory engagement does not constitute an endorsement of the Foundation by any monastic order, seat, or tradition beyond his own.

Harshad Gugaliya

Chairman of the Advisory Board

Harshad Gugaliya is The Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Foundation, he has dedicated his life to a singular, profound mission: establishing true humanity and universal compassion as our highest callings, superseding all man-made social divisions.

Under his leadership, the foundation operates on the firm conviction that it is the shared duty of governing systems and individual citizens alike to guarantee basic rights for every human while relentlessly protecting the Earth’s foundational elements. For him, the guiding philosophy of "My Earth, My Duty" is far more than a slogan—it is a lifelong vow to actively safeguard every living creature, ecosystem, and future generation.

Governance

Three bodies. Distinct responsibilities.

The Board of Directors carries legal responsibility for the Foundation under the Companies Act, 2013. The Board meets at least four times a year, sets strategic direction, approves the annual budget, and receives the audited accounts.

The Programmes and Partnerships Committee oversees the design and delivery of the Foundation’s community programmes, manages partnerships with government, courts, hospitals, universities, and CSR partners, and reports to the Board.

The Advisory Council comprises scholars, practitioners, and elders who advise the Foundation on its ethical direction and on the AI Mission. Advisory Council members do not hold executive or fiduciary office; their engagement is advisory, and their participation does not constitute endorsement of any specific position taken by the Foundation.

This page lists the Foundation’s senior leadership as of publication. The Foundation is in a period of active growth; additional programme heads, regional coordinators, and advisory council members will be listed here as they are appointed and as they consent to their names appearing.

We do not list names of people who have not consented to public listing. We do not list roles that are unfilled or under recruitment. Where roles are held on an interim basis, that is stated.
